[個展開催に向けて]
白色の紙という素材を使うことで光と影だけに分化され、ディティールの精緻さに支えられた空想の風景。時にアイロニー、ユーモアをも内包したそのスタイルは、マグリットのような親和感を与える。また、漂う空虚感にはイヴ・タンギーを、つい細部を追いかけてしまう感覚はヒエロニムス・ボッシュを彷彿させはしないか？
思うに伊藤の作品はシュルレアリズムなのである。工業化された世界を脆い紙によって制作することによる社会批評、といった通俗的な言説を引き出せないわけでもないが、より美術内にその作品を据え置き、分析の対象とし、シュルレアリズムを現代的に解釈するといった作業に関わるならば伊藤の表現への着地はその選択肢の一つとなるだろう。一見の冷淡さに囚われることなく、その世界に遊ぶ目を持って観るならば、豊かな意識の色彩をその中に見いだすことができるのだ。

［個展：paradox angle: 5°］
紙を自在に操りさまざまな造形を作り出す伊藤航が、配管などをモチーフに採用し、密度と精度に拘りながらアブストラクトかつミニマルに展開していく「paradox」シリーズ。
今展は其れに初の試みとなる「5°」の傾きをもたせたものを含む作品で構成されます。これまで意図的に垂直・水平を基準としてしてきましたが、そこに挿入される「5°」という、敢えて安定から遠ざかる要素を持ち込むことで、さらに一方で「5°」其れ自体がむしろストイックなほどに正確に取り入れれられることで、どのような世界観の広がりがもたらされるか。ぜひこの空間でご体感いただければ、と思う次第です。

Toward for Exhibition
This fantasy landscape that is supported by refinement of detail is differentiated only by light and shadow using white paper as material.
Its style is contained irony, even the humor gives an affinity feeling like Magritte.
In addition, the emptiness drifting feeling reminds us of Yves Tanguy,
and we remember Hieronymus Bosch from the feeling that makes us chase the details, aren’t you?
I think that Ito´s works are Surrealistic.
For examplethe way I can express Ito’s works, I put out a popular discourse as a social criticism due to the production of the industrialized world by brittle paper.
If I defer these works in the art, regarded as a subject of analysis, make modern interpretation of Surrealism, it will be one of the examples of my expression about Ito’s works.
Without being bound to the frosty surface at first glance, if you watch with eyes that play in the world, you can find the colors of the rich consciousness in it.

Wataru Ito creates a variety by modeling paper freely, adopted piping as the motive, In the "paradox" series,
while he is adhering to the density and accuracy, continuing to expand his stlye abstract and minimal.
This exhibition is composed of works including pieces that havve a tilt of the "5 °"as the first try.
His works have been intentionally based on the vertical and horizontal, but this time, he put in a tilt of "5 °"as an element away from the stable in his work.
On the other hand, we must see what kind of view spread for the world is there, when a tilt of the "5 °"has been incorporated into his work, exactly.
Please experience it in this space.
